Recognizing the freeway as a major gateway/boundary to Indianapolis, we envision navigating the CITY through a series of grand gestures composed of CITY TOWERS . COLOR FIELDS . PORTAL ENTRY & BOULEVARDS that mark arrival destinations, integrate freeway exits with city streets and reinforce the diverse character of adjacent neighborhood districts. This color-coded template encircling downtown offers a collective cohesive identity of place, making a powerful driving experience to orient visitors and residents alike to the urban center.
