Museum Indiana
A design advocacy that sought to house the new Indiana State Museum in the historic industrial Acme-Evans grain elevators and daylight mill in a manner that would serve as an honest expression of Indiana's past and a dramatic signature for White River State Park. Though the structures ultimately were lost to demolition, the creative and inventive adaptive reuse efforts were recognized with numerous awards for its intelligent and heart-felt commitment to the Midwest's agricultural/architectural heritage by the AIA-Indianapolis, ASLA-Indiana Chapter and the American Society of Architectural Perspectivists. As jurors noted, they were moved by the synthesis of site, design approach and the emotive tone of the work.
