Landscape & Remembrance
Beginning with an invitation that turned into a spirited conversation, we explored ways to physcially express appeciation that the Bateville Casket Company felt toward its multi-generational, family owned customer base in a new landscape memorial at the company headquarters in Batesville, Indiana. These gardens of procession and remembrance represented a personal contract and memorial to the families who have been, over multple generations, long and loyal business partners with the Company. Our approach sought to link landscape, water and building in a place unhurried and full of meaningful components: MEMORY'S GROVE, HERITAGE WOODS, GENERATIONS WALL, and the LEGACY TREE.
