Purdue Research Park: ICONS
Taking clues from the agricultural and inventive engineering backgrounds of Purdue University and the Purdue Research Foundation we developed a series of memorable markers, monumental in form, to give a distinct scale and identity to a new 250 acre technology campus along Interstate 70 across from the new Indianapolis Airport Terminal. Composed of ephemeral materials reflective of the new technologies being researched and developed, such as iridescent stainless steel shingles, polycast Panelite panels, and LEC illuminated sheets, the Icons are meant to inform and orient visitors to the character of this new place.
