Acton Nature Park Master Plan
Inspired by elements commonly found in the rural landscape and architecture we sought to contrast this 23 acre formerly domesticated farmland and religious meeting camp with constructed man-made objects to heighten the appreciation of the slowly naturalizing landscape. Leaving most of this landscape untouched many of the park’s everyday functions occur along a single man-made gesture, a line that strikes across the undulating ground, creating a unique place that will evolve with a focus on nature, community heritage and environmental education that is meant to enrich and inform, through discovery, play and social gatherings, both children and adults.
