Fountain Square
Put the SQUARE back in FOUNTAIN SQUARE. It has been everyone’s hope to create a new urban place to give more space to people, and install more fountains in keeping with the SQUARE’S history and name. After years of planning and community discussions a consensus will gave birth to a new heart for this designated Historic and Cultural District and popular destination near downtown Indianapolis. Part of a larger VISION for Fountain Square, this new urban gathering place, fountains and shelter canopy will bring a renewed faith and sense of drama for a neighborhood that suffered a severe decline after downtown Interstate construction in the 1970's. client: S.EN.D.
